Mike Mulindwa Ssempa

Mike Ssempa Mulindwa brings over 15 years of experience in higher education, with a strong track record of driving innovation, expanding access, and building meaningful partnerships across East Africa. He joins CMU-Africa from African Leadership University, where he led the recruitment of over 2,500 participants for the Africa region in the Alibaba Global Entrepreneurship Challenge. He also facilitated courses in international business and managed large-scale academic projects that empowered students and educators alike.

Before that, at Davis College Akilah, he spearheaded a tech-driven transformation in recruitment and admissions—boosting applications by over 600% and establishing partnerships with more than 230 schools and scholarship organizations. He holds a BSc in education – economics with a major in mathematics, an MBA in marketing, and is currently pursuing a doctorate in business administration. His passion lies in leveraging data, technology, and authentic relationships to connect talented students with life-changing academic opportunities.
