As the events manager, Marie-Ange Rukundo manages institutional events from conception to execution, ensuring maximum impact for all stakeholders. She is a stellar communicator with over seven years' work experience managing relationships in client-facing roles and five years of combined experience planning events, including four annual career and internship fairs at CMU-Africa.
She joined the university in 2016 as the career services officer, where she led the design of career and professional development services in order to boost students' preparedness for the workplace. Through cultivating relationships with a pipeline of 100+ employers globally, Rukundo has proudly achieved an average of 90% job placement rate for CMU-Africa alumni within six months of graduation and 40+ internship placements annually for CMU-Africa students.
Rukundo holds a B.A .from Carleton University in Canada, is a certified career advisor, and is currently pursuing a diploma in events management. One of the most rewarding aspects of her career at CMU-Africa so far is hearing the positive feedback from industry partners about the students she helped place in various organizations. Her love of community building inspires her to contribute her time and ideas to workplace initiatives that foster a sense of togetherness.
