Course description

This course is designed to help students develop the academic skills they will need for the collaborative, dynamic, and student-centered teaching and learning encountered at CMU-Africa. These skills include conducting research, applying critical analysis, and developing and presenting an argument in reports and presentations. These skills will help them successfully complete their MS programs at CMU-Africa. 

This course is offered on a pass/no pass basis. 

Learning objectives

The course aims to equip students with a wide range of relevant academic skills which students will require for their courses at CMU-Africa. 

Outcomes

Students will produce a report and presentation on a technical project of their choice, utilizing skills such as research, critical thinking, summarizing, and seminar skills.
