Career Services is pleased to present a Career Talk featuring guest speaker Richard Ndahiro who is an inclusive digital economy expert at the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF). In this talk moderated by Ayobami Olanrewaju, we will hear about Ndahiro’s career path. From consulting to academics to marketing and currently inclusive digital finance, he has explored many territories in his professional journey.

Speaker bio

Richard Ndahiro works at the intersection of the digital economy and the real economy, specifically on how digital technology and innovation can be applied to sectors like agriculture, health, education, finance, and energy to enhance access to essential services for underserved communities. His career of over 15 years spans across financial services (retail banking, microfinance, digital financial services), rurual development, and academics. He has worked across he Africa region with country experience in Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Zambia, Malawi, D.R. Congo, Nigeria. He is passionate about “base of the pyramid” markets.

Ndahiro holds an MSc in applied economics, a post-graduae diploma in innovation and design thinking, a diploma in professional marketing (CIM), and is an alumnus of the Oxford University Fintech program.
