Bio

Anna Carolina Muller Queiroz is a researcher, professor, and entrepreneur. Her focus is on cognitive and affective implications of new media and technology in learning, attitude, and behavior change. She is currently in charge of several projects using new media and technologies in education at Stanford’s Virtual Human Interaction Laboratory. She received her Ph.D from the Universidade de Sao Paulo in Brazil, where she also worked as an assistant professor. She has also been active as an entrepreneur.

Abstract

Muller Queiroz will talk about Stanford’s Virtual Human Interaction Lab research into VR’s effects on human learning and behavior. She will present studies focusing on social interaction, environmental education, training, and learning. She will also discuss how this media is transforming education and the future of work.
