How to work at the intersection of tech, research, and development in Africa

About the speaker: Stéphan-Eloïse Gras is an entrepreneur and a researcher, and currently the executive director of Digital Africa, an initiative and 130M€ funds launched in 2018 by President Emmanuel Macron to support African digital entrepreneurs in designing and scaling digital innovations for the real economy.

Previously, she co-founded Africa 4 Tech and headed the strategic development in Africa of Open Classrooms. She holds a Ph.D. in communication sciences and in philosophy.  Her Ph.D. dissertation traces the emergence of early AI patterns through the analysis of a music recommendation algorithm acquired by Spotify.
