Meet the SIP team
The Student Induction Program is coordinated through a collaborative effort involving faculty, staff, teaching assistants, and student leaders across the CMU-Africa community.
The SIP team works together to support students’ transition into graduate study by providing academic preparation, guidance, mentorship, orientation support, and community engagement opportunities throughout the induction experience.

SIP Lead, Student Induction Program
Lucy-Anna Kelly leads the overall design and delivery of the Student Induction Program. She works with faculty, staff, and student leaders across CMU-Africa to ensure that SIP provides a strong foundation for students' academic, professional, and personal success. Kelly leads the SIP Coordinating Committee.

Tartan Tuesdays and New Student Orientation Lead, Student Induction Program
Mika Inamahoro leads key onboarding activities that help students transition into the CMU-Africa community. Through Tartan Tuesdays and New Student Orientation, she helps students connect with university resources, understand campus expectations, and build relationships with their peers. Inamahoro is a member of the SIP Coordinating Committee.

Olga Buki coordinates the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Orientation, helping Scholars prepare for their transition to CMU-Africa and connect with the opportunities, expectations, and support available through the program.

Glen Thompson leads the English Enhancement Program and the Academic Skills course in Academic Bootcamp. He helps students strengthen their confidence and effectiveness in English-mediated academic and professional environments. Thompson is a member of the SIP Coordinating Committee.

Edith Luhanga supports students in developing the technical knowledge and problem-solving skills needed for success in graduate engineering study. She leads Online Learning and the technical components of Academic Bootcamp. Luhanga is a member of the SIP Coordinating Committee.
